TESTIMONIALS

‘Having taken fitness very seriously throughout my life I seemed to find myself in a rut in my thirties. Looking for a low impact exercise which would help tone and stretch I was told of gyrotonics. Sarah Toner proved to be an incredibly personable trainer, first finding my level and then pushing and persuading me to do more without the drill instructor shouts that I have experienced from personal trainers.
I would happily recommend this to friends and colleagues and have frequently done so. I now use gyrotonics not just as a workout but as a relaxation technique or even as a pick me up.

After a long day at work, or at home with the kids, exercising used to be the last thing I felt like doing. But gyrotonic has changed that. It definitely stretches, tones and improves your body – without feeling like a workout. Sarah is a really experienced teacher who is brilliant at spotting what you need to work on and tailoring the moves to your needs. She makes you laugh and enjoy it even when she’s challenging you. Afterwards I feel energised and an inch taller. It’s definitely improved my posture and confidence in how I look. (And psst, girls…it’s great for your sex life too!)

Sarah’s Gyrotonic classes have reached parts of my back that years of yoga and pilates haven’t touched! I leave her classes feeling supple, stretched and relaxed. Fantastic! Paddy, Dentist

‘Attack of the Killer Heels’

‘When walking downstairs, point the toes towards the banister: it lengthens
the legs and makes you more graceful; when walking upstairs, only put the ball
of the foot down,’ Says Sarah Toner. an ex-ballet dancer who teaches
businesswomen to walk with confidence
‘The higher the heel, the slower your walk and the shorter your stride’ says Toner.
‘And Imagine your foot is floating above the shoe, so you glide, not stomp.’

...Tatler also recommends a ‘Fabulous in High-heels Master Class’ given by
an ex-ballerina called Sarah Toner. She teaches women how to walk in heels,
saving super stylish fembots from falling over and bashing their brains out on their occasional
tables.
Now this is interesting. I have had a pair of 4-inch Gucci spikes in my wardrobe for
five years. They are what my sister calls ‘car shoes’ I don’t wear them; I use them to kill flies.
I put them in my bag and go to see Sarah in her studio near King’s Cross.
She is slim and smiling. I wave the shoes at her. I don’t think I can possibly learn to
walk in them. ‘We’re not going to put the heels on yet,’ Sarah says. and makes me do some stretching exercises. Afterwards, my body is so relaxed that when I put on the spikes and try to walk, I can do it. Easily. I feel exhilarated …

High Heels Class
Even the most stylish can be vertically challenged.
Recently the St.Barts crowd were entertained as stylist Rachel Zoe
tried to totter across the beach in a pair of vertiginous platform wedges.
Shame she didn’t know about fairy-footed ex-ballerina Sarah Toner, who
can turn any stumble in to a sashay and improve posture with her comprehensive
Fabulous in High Heels masterclasses. Her routine works your toes to transform your walk.
A series of arch, flex, tiptoe and pointe exercises help to strengthen the feet
and the all-important metatarsals (the delicate bones in your feet).
And she’ll have you holding in your pelvic-floor muscles to engage, strengthen and straighten
your upper back, ensuring that you glide across the room at any event.
Wearing high heels perks up the bottom and can improve your sex drive,
giving you something to smile about.
